We are well into planning our next annual Educational Tour for 2025. The tour will take place in Zurich and Munich beginning Monday, May 19th and concluding with our last meeting will on Friday, May 23rd.

As many of you are aware, this will be the 11th annual tour for the RE40s Group! Previous tour locations have included:

  • London – 2012 & 2015, 2019, & 2024
  • Bermuda – 2014, 2017 & 2023
  • Zurich/Munich – 2013 & 2018
  • Miami/ Cayman – 2016

The Tour consists of full days of company presentations that will provide a great opportunity to learn about the (re)insurance marketplace in both Zurich and Munich, and expand your industry network with some of the industry's top brokers, insurers, and reinsurers. Everyone who has attended the Tour in the past has found it to be a worthwhile and invaluable experience!

This year’s hosts will likely include Swiss Re, Zurich Insurance Group, and Munich Re.

You can learn more about our last Zurich/Munich tour in the 2018 Tour Report, which can be downloaded here.

The deadline to apply is January 31st, 2025.

Important Details:

  • Arrive in Zurich by Sunday, May 18th. Our first presentation will be held on Monday morning, but we plan to have a group session on Sunday evening.
  • The educational part of the Tour will begin on the morning of Monday, May 19th and continue through the morning of Friday, May 23rd.
  • Returning flights will depart from Munich on Friday, May 23rd, or later based on individual schedules.
  • It is your responsibility to make sure your passport is valid and that you have the necessary visa for the international travel to Switzerland and Germany. It is likely that by May 2025, US Citizens will need to register for the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) before traveling to these countries. This is in addition to a valid passport. Additional information can be found here: ETIAS News & Information For Visitors Coming To Europe
  • Attendees will be responsible for participating in all meetings, including asking questions, taking notes, and participating in group pictures. Attendees will be assigned sessions to be either a primary or secondary note-taker, and will be responsible for compiling a comprehensive report summarizing the presentations at the conclusion of the trip.
  • Tour reports have been a critical tool in ensuring manager support for attending, links to recent reports are available at https://reunder40s.org/tour.

The total cost of the tour will be approximately $4,750, which considers round trip airfare, transportation, lodging and meals. All presentations and some meals will be sponsored by our company hosts and have no associated charge. Room block rates in both cities will be arranged.

There are a limited number of spaces available so we would advise expressing interest as soon as possible by applying here by January 31st, 2025. Final attendees are subject to approval by the RE40s Tour Committee.

Everyone who has attended the Tour in the past has found it to be a worthwhile and invaluable experience.

Please contact tour@reunder40s.org for any questions.

Sincerely,
