Once again, the RU40s has accepted Covenant House’s challenge to spend a night sleeping on the street so that homeless kids don't have to. Although circumstances this year are quite different, the Sleep Out is continuing on, albeit in a modified format. Rather than at Covenant House, the event will be hosted virtually, with participants either sleeping outside their homes or inside on their floors. As part of our Sleep Out tradition, we're raising funds and awareness for Covenant House, a shelter for kids experience homelessness and trafficking.
Help us help kids. We’re looking for sleepers so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@reunder40s.org for more information about joining our team and fundraising on Covenant House’s behalf. A link to the RU40s team page can be found here.
Covenant House is doing beautiful work and we recommend you consider learning more about what they do. The event will provide insight into Covenant House's operations and will be an eye-opening experience.
Our event coordinator is Pamela Sandonato and she can be contacted at sleepout@covenanthouse.org and (212) 727-4990 for any questions this veteran group of RU40s sleepers can’t answer. We hope you will consider this active involvement with Covenant House and the RU40s.
