Test and learn! That was the approach in 2023 to see if we could pull off a great intern event. We succeeded. Now we're back for year 2 and going bigger and better.
The Reinsurance Under 40's group is planning out our second-ever Insurance Summer Summit for industry interns. This industry-wide event is built around helping foster retention and network building within the industry. This is open to all the players across our insurance value chain, so don't be shy to get involved.
Find a review of our inaugural event on July 13, 2023 here (ISS in Review 2023.pdf). With nearly 100 interns involved across 7 in-person companies, and 10 overall. With 97% of attendees rating the event overall 4+ stars out of 5, by all accounts the event was a smashing success.
The ISS (Insurance Summer Summit) is now becoming an annual event on the second Thursday of July. We hope to make this experience a mainstay for future years of interns' introduction to the industry. With that being said can we confirm your interest/participation for the 11th of July this year for the 2nd Annual ISS.
There are 3 tiers for participation. While we are focused on the in-person confirmations right now, we also are providing other options for interns unable to be in the city or who cannot come for the full in-person experience.
- Full Experience (Full Event in person + After Social in person) - $200-$250 per head
- Partial Experience (Full Event online + After Social in person) - TBD
- Virtual Experience (Full Event online) - TBD
The levels of tiers are to offer opportunities for interns not in NYC to participate, whether it is to come into the city for the After Social, or to attend fully online from out of state this will allow the most possible participation for the event.
The cost expectations for the Partial and Virtual Experience will depend on the number of interns we have due to the costs of hosting the virtual component in our event space and the number of participants total for the After Social. We are collecting initial interest right now for those two options as well.
